About Us:
Inspired by the spirit of Woodstock and the creative freedom of late-60s festivals, the Berlin Folk Festival (BFF) brings a colourful mix of folk, psych, indie, garage rock & Art to Festsaal Kreuzberg. The first iteration was founded by Dan Oz and Marie Sauerbrei. After the bookings were finalised, they brought Kathrin Adams on board to lead press. Together, they are building a DIY festival rooted in community, analogue energy, and a shared love for hand-picked music.
Meet The Team:
Dan Oz • Co-Founder, Booking Agent & Art Lead
Dan is an interdisciplinary artist & creative community builder with a strong passion for immersive, art & music-driven live experiences. At BFF, he curates the collaborative art installations and books the folk, indie & soul roster. Next to BFF, he runs his European Booking Company Submarine Booking, working with artists such as Sam Blasucci.

Marie Sauerbrei • Co-Founder, Promoter, DJ & Psych-Rock Booker
Marie is responsible for booking the psych-rock lineup & managing director operations for the festival’s first edition. She also runs her own psych-retro events at venues like Schokoladen. As a DJ, she plays vinyl-only sets across the world, and will team up with fellow Berlin DJs for the festival’s after-hours party. Her scene knowledge and network strongly shape this year’s sound.

Kathrin Adams • Press Lead, Music Plugger & Publisher
Kathrin is a music publicist (radio, press) who has worked in Germany with artists such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Mac DeMarco, Kurt Vile, and more. At BFF, she leads press and communications, bringing a deep passion for the music that defines the festival.
